We've Made Big Changes
In August 2017, ownership of Heights Woodworking passed to Vaughan Scully from Amor Villar.
Vaughan brings his experience as woodworker, locksmith and Park Slope homeowner to every project we do. After a successful career in financial journalism, Vaughan made the switch to woodworking and running a small business in Brooklyn. Welcoming customers to the shop, taking time to understand their needs and delivering the same quality craftsmanship Heights is known for, are what makes working with Vaughan a unique experience.

Our Story
Founded In 1946, Heights Woodworking serves homeowners, designers, architects and contractors throughout the New York City area. In our 14,000 square foot shop next to the Gowanus Canal, we take on woodworking projects large and small – from cutting Ikea shelves to high-end Manhattan storefronts. Everything we do is custom designed to your specifications and made by artisans with decades of woodworking experience.
