Heights Woodworking has been making custom doors, windows and cabinets since 1946.

Everything we make is done by hand, from start to finish.

DOORS

WINDOWS

Sourcing the old-fashioned “weight and chain” windows can sometimes be difficult, but we are experts with years of experience doing just that. We also make curved windows for historic houses.

STAIRS

Nothing quite defines the beauty of a home better than beautiful and elegant customized wood stairs. We restore and repair staircase as well as fabricating stair parts such as bannister rods, handrails and newel posts.

CABINETS

Craftsmanship is in our culture and all that we do. Every cabinet and drawer is hand-fitted one at a time. From walnut bookcases to plain-jane undersink cabinets, we make cabinets for any use.

MOLDINGS

One of our specialties is matching historic moldings from Brooklyn brownstones. We can provide moldings for renovations that fit into historical locations seamlessly as well as new designs for a more modern look.

We've Made Big Changes

In August 2017, ownership of Heights Woodworking passed to Vaughan Scully from Amor Villar.

Vaughan brings his experience as woodworker, locksmith and Park Slope homeowner to every project we do. After a successful career in financial journalism, Vaughan made the switch to woodworking and running a small business in Brooklyn. Welcoming customers to the shop, taking time to understand their needs and delivering the same quality craftsmanship Heights is known for, are what makes working with Vaughan a unique experience.
